We have been very gratified at
the response we've gotten to our
animals. We have more to show
you if you will drop by the shelter
(10 - 2, Monday through
Saturday).  We have some
wonderful kittens and puppies
that are not quite ready yet but
will be posted as soon as they
are "good to go" so STAY TUNED!
Little Man,  a one
year old
Chihuahua. A very
loyal companion,
he found the
perfect home!

photo of me than THIS?
I'm really very beautiful!"
A real sweetie, adopted
at Petsmart in Victoria!
A wonderful family who met
Sugar at Wal-Mart adoption
day came by the shelter to
adopt her. She and Fancy
were pals so we were thrilled
when Fancy was also able to
go to a new home.
Fancy, a dachshund mix who
was intensely loved by all of
us. She was the "cover girl" in
the Victoria Advocate feature
article on CCHS on August
20, 2006.
Hamlet (sometimes
called Hambone)  went
to a wonderful home in
Houston when he was
seen on Petfinder! See
more photos on our
home page.
: - )
Scooter, a male Schnauzer
mix with a handsome wiry
coat. We could have used 2
Scooters because no
sooner was he adopted
than someone else called
wanting to adopt him!
Trixie,  a lovely gal,
part beagle. A very
loving dog, she looked
up at someone at
Petsmart with those
eyes and found a new
home.
Pappi,  another one of our
"designer dogs." Terrier
and, we think, some
Papillion. One happy fella,
he went to a great home
with lots of other dog
friends.
Bentley, a male beagle
cross with elegant
patterns to his liver and
white coat.
Adopted!!
Cookie, a female terrier
dachshund mix. . She
was adopted, her son
and daughter C.J. also.

symmetric markings
ever seen. Adopted1
Susie, a black and white
terrier mix who made you
feel like a hero every
minute you spent with
her, adopted!
Gus...adopted
PLEASE Remember that the animals we have change on
almost a daily basis - sometimes they are put up here or in the
paper and are adopted that day. Call quickly if you see one that
grabs your heart but also drop by the shelter to see our brand
new residents. It is truly a
"moveable feast" that we love to see
as animals
move to a new home!!!!
Megan, . ADOPTED at
Petsmart!
Sadie,  part dachshund
and  basset - we deal in
a lot of "designer dogs!"
She went to a good
home.
Dallas, a Rottweiler/black lab mix,  is a little over a year old,
very affectionate and friendly, gets along well with other dogs,
loves children (though not suitable for small children), needs
a large fenced yard. A big dog, yes, but what a GREAT dog!
Hank, a yellow lab, about 3
years old, house trained,
clean, gentle (though not
suitable for small children),
loves to swim, would be a
great inside/outside dog. He
will be a wonderful
companion. Hank is tireless
when it comes to fetching.
As long as you throw, he will
fetch until you give up!
And then there are the cats and
kittens...oh, my...
And  Chipper, Gigi, Tux, Cocoa, Foxylady,MacKenzie
and so many more...
Jennifer is a 1 year old
terrier mix who came to
the shelter after being
dumped in the country.
She loves to run and
play with other dogs, but
also likes to be petted
and cuddled. Jennifer is
completely
house-trained, very
smart, and eager to
please.
Caesar is a 1 year old
Golden Retriever/Irish
Setter mix. House trained,
he will be a devoted
companion. He loves his
daily exercise and his
foster parent says he's
wonderful!
Zeus is a 1 year old
Dachshund mix. He gets
along well with other dogs, is
not overly energetic and
loves to be held and petted. A
great inside dog, he will
make a great pet for almost
anyone.
Keep watching as more dogs will be added soon.  If you are
looking for a dog or a cat that is of a certain age, type or
breed,  call the shelter (361-553-8916) and get on our "want"
list as animals come in daily.
Meet Sissy, a
Catahoula mix with one
blue eye, one brown, a
very distinctive looking
gal! She plays well with
other dogs and is as
sweet as she is
beautiful and different.
A couple of real sweeties in two different views, Dusty is a
gorgeous tortoise shell and
Lickety is a Siamese seal point
mix (she will always have blue eyes). Both these little girls
will be ready soon!
Hansel and Gretel, male and female Siamese Seal Point
mixes will have semi-long hair and
Raven will also have
"longish" hair. They're still babies but if they've already tugged
at your heart
as they have at ours, come by and fill out an
adoption contract and they're yours when they're ready to go.
Tabu (male tabby), Mumsy and Mitzi (female calicos) and
Stormy
(male piebald), still babies but come in and decide
which one will be yours.
The calicos are "drop dead gorgeous"
and we think they already know it.

Shadow (male black shorthair who is a real alpha kitty) and

Louise

and kittens) and T
helma & Louise would love to go to a new
home together so they can keep confusing everyone!

Dachshund and terrier
mixes, in new homes!
